Extraordinary Desserts! I love love love this place! It’s my all time favorite desserts, chocolate, pastry and cake shop in San Diego. I’ve literally started coming here in the 1980’s when it first opened. We’d stop in for coffee and cake after the symphony, or just drop by for a sweet treat on an afternoon off.

Now thank goodness they are still around and have two locations! The Keltner location serves full restaurant menu items. However, if you are a true dessert aficionado, the Bankers Hill locale is your go to spot.

The cakes are decadent and unlike any ordinary cake. Each cake is a divine combination of flavor, texture, color, and beauty. Shaved white chocolate, dark chocolate mousse, large fresh strawberries, gold leaf, pink, red, and white rose petals, colorful macaron accents, flakey pastry, vanilla cream sauce, raspberry sauce…

You’ll find it painstaking to choose just one dessert. The portions are huge too. Even I cannot eat a whole serving at once. But don’t worry, they have take out pastry boxes available to carry the rest with you.
