West Indies Cruise on Viking Sea

West Indies Cruise on Viking Sea

We took the West Indies Cruise on Viking for my BIG birthday and it was amazing. The food was excellent, the scenery and tours awesome! It was our first time cruising with Viking and boy are we glad we decided to go for it. We love that there are no children and no casinos. Oh and that they include wine with the dinner. It’s awesome that one shore excursion is included in each port.

Did I mention the Nordic Spa, it’s included too. And I love that as well. Plus, the food was absolutely incredibly delicious. Each night, the menu featured standard options, which were more continental in flavor, and a localized menu option. So we always had to try items from both menus, because everything was delicious. And this was just in the main restaurant.

We set sail on a roundtrip voyage from San Juan to explore the colorful Caribbean. By starting deep in the heart of this tropical paradise we avoided the long sea days associated with most Caribbean cruises, allowing us to visit more ports and spend more time discovering rich island cultures. We were immersed in the British, French and Dutch cultures of the Lesser Antilles as we cruised azure waters from Tortola and St. Lucia to Dominica, St. Martin and St. Thomas.

Here was our itinerary on Viking Sea for the West Indies Explorer Cruise. We went in December 2023. This is a link from the Viking site that displays the map of where we cruised. We covered nine new countries for me, in just 11 days.
