This Arius Chardonnay 2017 is from California, as are most Chardonnays.

Upon publishing this post in 2026, I see it’s from San Luis Obispo County!

White wine

BevMo $15.95

and second bottle for 5 cents.

Has a very distinct tasteful mouth 👄 of light fruit and banana 🍌 pudding and notes of peach 🍑 skin with slightly alcohol scent and Taste. Maybe the flavor is not developed all the way.

Only after reading the bottle back label I read pineapple 🍍 and yes I do taste pineapple it is one of the missing flavors I was searching to describe. Maybe pineapple and slight under ripe peach 🍑

I DO like this wine.

Bev Mo $15.95 for 2 on 5 cents sale.

I’d give it a 7 out of 10 for its price range.

Arius cold

I did review it again when I opened the second BOGO bottle. Here’s my notes from that tasting. Looks like the bottle was more chilled so probably batter on the palate.

At first a little bit florally and honey 🍯 ish taste is fuller and slightly more delicate when held in the mouth and swirled …little pineapple 🍍 taste and notes of slight citrus 🍊 either lime orange blend or grapefruit like. Then once swallowed it tastes alcohol like in the mouth.

Otherwise drinking fast it becomes tinny tasting and not so delicious 🤤 more like one I wouldn’t pick if I knew it tasted like that. If I don’t take the time to savor it then I am not enjoying drinking it.

BevMo purchase I bought 2 for on the five cents sale

For the price I’d give it an 8 out of 10 but it wouldn’t be my choice if others are available.

Here’s the 2026 AI overview tasting notes:

Arius Chardonnay (often from Edna Valley or general California) is a commonly oak-driven, full-bodied white wine featuring prominent notes of vanilla, butterscotch, and baked pear. It is generally described as a rich, creamy, and lush style, sometimes characterized by high alcohol and intense wood, making it a good choice for those who prefer, bold, classic California Chardonnay.
