Rapids City – Moorcroft into Wyoming

August 9, 1976

This morning mom and I got lost from dad and Todd as you can read in my book. But we found ‘em in a gas station. We camped in sort of a rest area and it stormed tonight. Todd and mom versus dad and I played pounce, of course, we won!

August 10, 1976

Today we went swimming at our campground and after dinner we went shopping in Town and then went for a ride. The Bighorn Mountains look so nice, tomorrow we’ll cross over ‘em. We tried out our gas lantern today.

Moorcroft- Worland

August 11, 1976

The Mountain Driving was really nice. Lot of pretty scenery and loose-stock. We stayed at a nice shady K.O.A. We drove by snow capped mountains also. We got an A & W that night too.

Worland – Wapiti (by Cody)

August 12, 1976

Today at camp we went swimming. Then went to the Buffalo Bill Museum and

Indian Museum. We ate at Canyon Cafeteria and went to a rodeo there was bronco riding and bull calf roping and wrestling. Todd and me did a calf scramble. Chase a calf and try to get a ribbon off its neck.
