Local Farmers in the Countryside

Farmers were working in the fields by hand. There were chickens and roosters and cows. Even Vlado’s parents who we visited later, live nearby and raise pigs, sheep, cows, roosters, and chickens for all their products. Fresh.

Their house was nice. Neat and clean, with rugs everywhere, with a wood burning stove for heating and cooking. At my flat, Maria had asked why the landlady didn’t even give me a rug by my bed. They also had many plates, unlike me!

Vladimir took videos of the day too, as well as the night at my flat. Then we had a snack of bread, ham, cheeses, and a pâté. And café too. It was a typical Slovak breakfast, I think.

After we were talking and cleaning up, then us three women took a walk down the lane to see the little “Niagara Falls”. It was along a river all green, trees, flowers in the fields yellow! The waterfall was coming from the hills above. A horse and cart passed us just in front of their cottage! Normal transport.
