Discovering Slovenia

Slovenia is about the fun time I had travelling with my good friend Michael through Slovenia. We visited the beautiful capital and then explored beyond Ljubljana enjoying delicious meals along the way. In fact, my best restaurant meals that summer were in Slovenia. And the most scenic hikes and trails were in Slovenia. And, I might add, some of the nicest people were in Slovenia.

One of the most memorable days was our hike in the Julian Alps. Simply serene and untouched, it was like we were reaching the sky. Another day that sticks in my mind, was the day we rented bicycles and Michael tipped over into the rocky dry riverbed. All was well though, even though I lost my luggage on the way there, and started out with a hangover in Ljubljana.
