Back at the Wohnung which is totally empty, except two Klosets (wardrobes), a bed without bedding, and lamps on the ceiling. Trude loaned us bedding and two glasses for our Champagne. We sat on the balcony and finished up the Zipfer beer and Champagne. Lucille mopped the floor, saying she felt single again, as her hub and kids were gone, and she was doing the move with me instead, her best friend! We sang and whistled in the vast echos of empty rooms. I enjoyed listening to “O Sole Mio” and “La Bella Dossa” as Lucille showered and I sailed off to a deep slumber.
Now we are counting down the final hours. Only two packers are here today, finishing up and will be bummed when they find out they also have to pack the 3,000 Shillings worth of groceries we bought that are in the car, including my mini wine collection and pasta sauce for a half year, and chocolate for Sacher Tortes Lucille wants to sell in China.
As a friendly introduction to Chinese food and dining tradition, Lucille took me out for Dim Sum at an upstairs terrace restaurant that we had to access through the Park Garage. It was surprisingly good, although they didn’t have the Pooh Er tee, so we drank green tea instead, on which I am already hooked as a cold drink with mint or lemon.
And we are still waiting…
