Well we all slept in until the girls were ushered off to school, complete with Sophia having an abnormal crying fit. We all showered and took turns watching Leon. Had a very strong coffee (the best we’ve had in Europe as mom said!) with Lucille and gathered our wits and plans.

Sightseeing in Vienna

Finally we headed out about 11 or 12 P.M. Eleven I think. We went first to the Succession, my fave! Gustave Klimt’s Beethoven Frieze always sure to please and inspire. Mom and Dad passed as seniors and I as the perennial student.

Next we ventured in the warm sun over to Karls Kirche, also my fave! They loved it too. Trojan war stories wrapped around the spiral columns. We wandered aim-fully the parks and into the Center Ring, passing through Burg Garten, Maria Theresa, Künst Historisch Museums and a cool Fin d’ Siecle green wrought iron cafe amidst a green grassy Wien Park.

We ventured almost directly to the famous Viennese “fast food “ local Wienerschnitzle Haus recommended by Lucille as the only place to get real Schnitzel. It’s where she took me already in February, so I knew exactly what to order for the three of us, no need even for a menu. We shared two large hanging-over the edge of the plate golden brown mouth wateringly tender Schnitzels; each had a white wine gespritz,
