Paris Tales is about my trip to Paris with my friend Helen who was 84 years young at the time. I met her as she arrived at the airport, amid the metro strike, which offered challenges of it’s own. Helen and I both enjoy wine and food, so we were literally in hog heaven! Every morning I would venture out of our hotel to bring back croissants and coffee, then we’d explore a section of the city.
Both of us had been to Paris many times before, so we were happy to avoid popular tourist destinations, and we mostly stayed off the beaten path. That translated to lots of walking, shopping, dining, and relaxing. Helen always said, “It was the best trip I ever had!” and that’s coming from a lady who was a life long traveler. It certainly was one of my best trips too!
