A Week in Tokyo is about my graduation trip that I took, from caregiving for my husband, after three years of our recovery journey. It celebrated the renewal of life and freedom for both of us. I was happy to be back in my element of travelling across seas to unknown destinations, and he was more than grateful to have the house to himself, and to “do it all” on his own, while I was away. Of course, we kept in touch daily, and I had pre-prepared his meals and everything he may need while I was away.
That being said, it was my first time in Japan, outside of a previous layover in Tokyo Narita, on my way back to Beijing once. Everyone I know that has been to Japan, said they loved it. What did you love about it? The food, the people, cleanliness, safety, everything, they would reply. I was to have a similar experience. Here I documented my week in Tokyo, which was filled with varied activities and lots of walking!
