Viktualienmarkt Munich

We met mom and dad at the pension after breakfast and headed into town for a hurried day of sightseeing in Munich. We started out at the huge Gate Tor by Amerika Haus and went to the Haus der Künst with painters from the Blau River Schüle, which all of us thoroughly enjoyed.

Next we took a whirlwind tour of the Viktualienmarkt – the best places for bread, coffee, and fish (which mom chocked down). We all wanted a beer, but our schedule didn’t permit it, until three hours later, we harriedly arrived at the Hirsch Gärten (my idea).

Then it turned out great however, and we all settled down drinking the huge maß’s of beer 🍻 eating giant pretzels 🥨 and Käse spread, watching the deer 🦌, and looking frantically for the “Blady with the Blasket”.

We then had to walk home semi-fast, so Michael could prepare dinner, while I had nice again re-packed, and mom and dad got organized at their pension, then came over for dinner at 20:30 🕣.We had a wonderful dinner with wine, and Madeira (two kinds which Michael brought from Portugal 🇵🇹). He showed us some photos (from his trip) and then about 23:30 🕦 we walked them home and I had tears again, as did mom.
